Horsham House takes our environmental impact seriously. Since 2006 we have undertaken extensive resource auditing, equipment upgrades and efficiency approaches. The result has been large reductions in our environmental impacts:

We have provided habitat for an endangered butterfly found only at three wetlands in the west Wimmera. The Golden-rayed Blue butterfly has been documented on our environmental plantings of the indigenous groundcover Creeping Boobialla (Myoporum parvifolium). See 'New at Horsham House!' for further details.

Our achievements have been recognised through:

Finalist status in the Water Conservation Category of the 2010 Keep Australia Beautiful - Sustainable Communities Awards. Award presentation will be on October 9th and 10th in Beechworth - wish us luck!
